Redbook ("the App") is developed by Menudo Consulting AB, Sweden (org.nr 556896-1758).

Data We Collect

Redbook does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The App runs entirely on your device.

Network Access

The App connects to the internet solely for:

• MusicBrainz (musicbrainz.org) — to look up album, artist, and track names based on the disc's table of contents. Only the disc's track layout (number of tracks and their durations) is sent. No personal information is transmitted.
• Cover Art Archive (coverartarchive.org) — to fetch album cover art. Only the album identifier from MusicBrainz is used.

Album metadata and cover art are cached locally on your device for faster loading on subsequent plays.

USB Access

The App requires USB Host permission to communicate with connected CD/DVD drives. This access is used exclusively to read audio data from inserted discs.

No Analytics or Tracking

Redbook contains no analytics SDKs, no crash reporting services, no advertising frameworks, and no tracking of any kind.

No Account Required

The App does not require or support user accounts, logins, or registration.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
